Things to Do in Round Rock, Texas

In Round Rock, folks have a big as Texas appetite, and they are never disappointed. For breakfast there is Round Rock Doughnuts, which is worth finding. The doughnuts are fresh but be warned – they are not for the faint of heart—and you may well end up sharing what you have ordered – or wrapping it up for take home. Dieting is for tomorrow.

If it is Mexican food with flair that will satisfy that big as Texas hunger, try Chuy’s or La Cocina, both of which can get you in and out quickly and ready for that afternoon siesta. Or if you need to stay up try Café Java or the local Starbucks – nothing like a hot cup of coffee to perk up those heavy eyelids after a meal of Tex-Mex.

But you came for authentic Texas Barbeque? Well, towards dinnertime try Salt Lick Barbeque or any other of the ten grandest barbeque restaurants this side of the Pecos pardner. The names are enticing as the stuffed potatoes – Smokey Mos, Freebird’s World Burritos, or how about Tortuga Flats – Mexican Icehouse?
